If you can bring yourselves to leave the resort, you are ideally placed to visit nearby Fuengirola and Marbella, or head to the City of Malaga, birthplace of Piccasso, or stunning Ronda, perched on a gorge, which boasts the oldest bullring in Spain. Gibraltar is only an hour's drive away, and, in the other direction, the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada offer winter skiing. Reception can organize car hire for you, or book you onto an organized excursion.
